Why can rotating wheels on an EV not generate electricity to constantly charge their battery?

    I am not an engineer but have always wondered why the wheels on an EV that are constantly moving have not been adapted in some manner to act as a form of dynamo to generate electricity that would top up the charge on the EV battery. Braking has been adapted
