How Often Do You Change Your Bedclothes? 😁

Let's be honest, someone had to do it. Perhaps someone will be so kind to start one about the frequency of changing towels and we'll have a full house?

Changed every 5-7 days in summer, every week-10 days in winter.

Try to do it weekly but if it goes over the week I'm not overly bothered.

I lived with a guy who didn't do it at all. At some point he gave up on the sheets and slept directly on the mattress. Over time a kind of black tar formed. When we moved out I think he lost some of his damage deposit. Luckily the damage deposit was to individuals and the landlord didn't hold the rest of us accountable.

Change the sheet on the mattress at least once a week. Change the duvet cover every 1-2 weeks. Often the duvet isn't used in warm weather, and in winter often have a sheet between me and duvet, so that gets washed weekly also.

I took a Dyson hoover on its top suction settiing to the mattress a few times, incredible to see what skin and dust gets pulled out, and we are showered most evenings going to bed and change sheets weekly. I'd reckon it's frankly horrifying what's in some people's mattresses.

It was not me! He had a big pile of used clothes in the corner of his room that had a bicycle hidden under it. Once he found a loaf of bread under his bed that was several months out of date. No mould, completely dry and hard as a rock. Thing is, I went to visit him in London a few years back and he was going out with a woman he now has a kid with. Either he wanted to impress her or she beat the clean into him because his flat was spotless, he even had a Glade plugin to make the place smell nice.

Sheet every week, usually on a Monday.

Quilt cover a bit less often, but depends how it is.

Pillowcases I'm a little fussy about and change them even more frequently - I just don't like the idea of our facial oils being wiped into them for eight hours a night, and then the next night...I change them quite often.

The house dust mite excrements are pellets with a diameter of about 10–40 µm. These pellets dry up, decompose into fine dust, float into the air and are inhaled. The size of excrement particles are comparable with an another main source of allergy; Pollen.
