Looks like Chelsea have finally got Aubameyang. Wonder was it them behind the break in..???🤔😁

Didn’t journalists question Pep about that exact topic after they hammered Watford in the FA Cup final? He shut them down along the lines “we have just won a great victory and you choose to talk abide that…”

Shell corporations indeed! Not a chance Haaland isn’t on double what Salah is on or more than Ronaldo

I always said the super league was Perez, agnelli and laporta taking away the financial advantage of the premier league.

So many needless yellows for Utd.

Scott McTominay must get away with one booking every game, be it a yellow card or only receiving a yellow card instead of a red card.

Harvey Barnes has so many tools to be very good.

    But he's really shít.

Sancho is no where near the player I thought he'd be,

He never seems to get into a game, i wonder is it the physical sideof the Prem that he's really struggling with

The yellow ties and dresses are gone from Transfer deadline day, but the legs are creeping back in..😉

I thought that Ten Hag might have got United flowing in attack first, and then worked on defence. But he seems to have done it the other way around. They look a lot better at the back the last couple weeks.

Shaw Maguire and AWB not on the pitch makes a massive difference

Could be coindence but they've looked more solid since Maguire has been taken out of the starting 11.

Vardy was a fine player but hard to see what he can do now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,317 ✭✭✭KH25

IMO defence had to be first. The attack is misfiring and needs work, but so many of the goals being conceded were due to bad defending or players absolutely panicking under pressure.

It's very early doors but looks like City are a show in to win it

For me Arsenal look. odds on for top 4 & the rest will all have a real struggle for top 4 and itll be full of ups and downs

This is some absolutely world class skying of shots from Leicester tonight.

Leicester have been better in this half but too many loose balls and bad passes. Man U eking out wins

4 mins of added time and the ball was in play for 1:52.

What is the purpose of added time?

You nailed it there, league is decided, top four, six, is wide open to surprises, a strange season.

Leicester need a new spine. Keeper, centre backs, holding midfielder, two strikers. Caleta-Car was available. How were they not in for Joao Pedro and Saar? Vardy and Evans get new contracts when they should get replaced.

What Leicester need is a manager who isn’t a total spoofer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,884 ✭✭✭Pogue eile

You are settting the bar very high if you are calling someone with Rodger's CV a spoofer. Not a hope in hell that Leicester in their current financial mess can attract anyone even remotely close to the calibre of Rodgers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,469 ✭✭✭.red.

Rodgers is a spoofer. A complete and utter one too at that. He has zero tactical awareness, never had a plan B if hoof it to vardy doesn't work. He got lucky at Liverpool when he had one of the best attacks in Europe who were on fire but he couldn't set up a team to hold a lead or defend. His dealings in the transfer market are pretty poor too

The bar isn't very high to get somebody in that's better.

Leicester looking very like Liverpool in 2015/2016 in the sense that they were very flat. Uninspiring and not blessed with energy or direction. Too many changes in personnel & formations.

I do think he is a good coach, but gets caught up in the other stuff too much. Believes his own hype. Is he like his mentor and that he just burns out at a club after a certain period of time?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,955 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

They have been horrible in the transfer market for about 4 seasons now

They have needed new CB's for 3 seasons now & instead of getting one let there best CB go , 2 decent CB's & Ndidi back into midfield really transforms them .

    Vardy is finished,

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,646 ✭✭✭✭rob316

That's harsh, hes managed back to back 5th place finishes and an FA cup. Investment in the team has dried up, have an aging striker up front, lost a top centre back to Chelsea.

Really looking forward to Super Sunday now - two sides who think they have something going on getting to test each other's 2022-23 ambitions.

I think Arsenal have had an almost perfect fixture list up to now, and haven't been really tested yet, whereas United may well believe that they have turned a corner in terms of where the team are going. A draw wouldn't surprise me, but this is a real opportunity for one of them to damage the others top 4 credentials. Of the two teams I would slightly favour Arsenal, but hearing injury rumours around Odegaard, Zinchenko and Ramsdale would make me think that Man Utd would fancy themselves against a team missing those 3 players.

Were Arsenal to win, they would go 9 points clear of United and keep themselves ahead of Man City, who look relentless at this stage. If United win, then City can go top and the league would be over, but United would be right in the mix for Champions League spots.

Jesus will certainly fancy himself to try stop United getting a third consecutive clean sheet, but not without Odegaard creating chances for him.

This should be a game where we won't be left talking about teams time-wasting for the entire second half anyway!
