What is going on the Dublin side of Celbridge after the Super Valu.

It's after you go through Celbridge then over the bridge and head for the motorway there is a big road being laid to the right as your heading for the M4. What is that about? Is there going to be a big factory there or is it a new road or what?

There's two things going on around there. The first is the new state forensics lab, and the second is a road to Adamstown. I don't know how far progressed the road is but I'm presuming the roadworks aren't just for the state lab!

Wow that will be the most scientific road in Ireland what with state lab ( what a mega fiasco that was with BertieBowl tie in ) and Backweston crop lab

I'm not sure if the new road is going to be near the State Forensics Lab. The road is more of a link road, crossing Tubber Lane and linking up with Adamstown.

As I understood it, the State Lan is the construction happening in the lower left corner of the following image whereas you can see the path of the new road (taken a few months ago) trailing from top centre to lower right...

Sad to see Tubber Lane lose some of it's rural feel. Will it be a crossroads or any chance of a flyover?

I believe that it will be a cross roads but no vehicular access from it towards Lucan Golf club (but will have cycle and pedestrian access).

I note that SDCC are continuing with the bullshit approach of shared cycle lanes and footpaths.

Not in any existing public proposals.

In the short term I doubt there'd be demand. Celbridge has, and will gain more, buses to Hazelhatch which has fairly frequent trains to Adamstown, and transfer fares.
