Heya just in terms of interview form and form b with your references will then get in touch with them before interview or only after if have past just in process of promotion process at new job and know if get called for reference could effect that … wouldn’t mind if was after and passed . Thanks

Nobody will contact your references prior to interview.

In fact, you are now only issued Form B, once you are notified of being successful at interview anyway.

Anyone in the first batch that sent off the form b, did ye add a passport photo to it?

If so how did ye do it, print and scan or attach with word?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53 ✭✭Spook22

You can attach the passport photo electronically and its much easier to scan it that way.

So attach the photo with word, then do whatever else you need to do - print, sign, scan, etc.

    Hey guys,

just filling out my interview form here! How much did ye all write?? It has room for 4000 words but I’m only getting 50/100 per box! Is that enough??

    Thanks you:)

The interview panel will have access to it during the interview. So just include what you want them to ask you about basically. Well that and write stuff that makes you look good

Take photo on phone. Transfer to laptop. Add image to word document. Crop and place appropriately. Job done

The form has to be sent electronically anyway so there's no point printing and scanning it really

I printed the last page and signed it and scanned it back in. I'll just attach a photo like your saying for the first page.

You could have also taken a picture of your signature and cropped it into the signature section too if you've no scanner

Currently going to prep for interview stage, which would ye recommend? Career services or Garda IP ? I’ve used career services all along and they got me this far.. but I dunno what to do like don’t want to mess up at this stage. In the Garda IP do they only chat to ya once?? Or what

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2 Lkate2022

I would definitely recommend Garda IP, it's one to one and they are there to assist throughout the process if you have any further questions!

Is anybody else not able to login to public jobs?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53 ✭✭Spook22

Server is down at the moment - try again this evening I'd say.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25 KaWinNee

Career services is much cheaper but is only pre recorded interviews and notes. You cannot talk or ask questions.

Gardaip is expensive but he will call you on zoom for about 2.30 3hrs and go through everything with you. He will tell you if your competencies are good or bad or suggest ones based on your experience. Hes also very quick to reply to any questions.

Anyone know has it been confirmed that job stimulation won’t be in for stage 2? I have brought the IP second stage course and it says there it won’t be tested.

Best of luck to all doing the fitness tomorrow and for the rest of the week. Feel there's a lot less nerves once you get to this stage, at least there aren't really many unknowns to worry about.

Anybody know what number there at for stage 2 at the moment? As in Ooms thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 101 ✭✭macmathuna1

How long was it between getting interview results and doing fitness test?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 84 ✭✭Starlight27

How did the fitness test go for anyone who done it? Was it tough?

Just in regards to progression the below is a direct grab from the monthly Garda report!

The 2022 Garda Trainee Recruitment campaign is currently being processed by the Public Appointment Service (PAS). An Garda Síochána will receive a select list by the end of August 2022, when An Garda Síochána selection elements commence. An Garda Síochána Recruitment Steering Group will ensure a fit for purpose and expeditious process takes place. It is intended that a cohort of trainees will commence in the Garda College in October 2022, with a cohort of 200 every 11 weeks thereafter.

    Pretty good movement planned!
