Yes, with IO. Their explanation doesn't really make sense.

I pick and choose what one's I do and if they are boring or going in too long I just dump them.

I got a €1 one from Red C this morning, from an "outside company" before i had even started it it said it would take at least 8 minutes so i just stopped doing it, i figured if it says 8 minutes its usually a bit more and probably should have been a €2 survey.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,031 ✭✭✭✭Jim_Hodge

Timings are never that far out. €1 for 8 minutes is a reasonable return from surveys.

Got a €4 from RED C on TV/Broadband suppliers(quite a bit longer than the 20 mns stated, but who cares now) this afternoon which at last brings me to the payout ,€53 actualy, and still waiting for that bloody Partner survey but it doesn't matter so much now.I was really careful with those quality control questions at the end too.😄

Ah, I would have done it with RED C.3 mns over is not too bad.

as it turned out it was sent out again later with €2 (or at least it looked the same at the start) so maybe they corrected it?

i just feel if it was 1/2 minutes over i'd get over it, but when you hit 3/4/5 minutes over if people start doing those they'll continue to push the boundaries.

was that the esri one ?

i just completed that in 5 minutes

I agree with you. Most survey companies are as you say "pushing the boundries" lately and it does annoy me too.I have just quit several surveys after they went way over the stated time.RED C doesn't usualy do this though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,276 ✭✭✭Gru

no i got that one also, so i don't think the first one was that, unless it was. and if it was i'll take the €2 over the €1...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,219 ✭✭✭Naid23

I just tried to do a €2 red c one, pre qualifying question was my year of birth. Put it in and then it said i wasnt paying attention basically. Even though info was correct.

€2 needed to cash out this month n all 😂

Redc's usual end of month flurry I see. It's the usual game of will I won't i for those around the 45 mark.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 923 ✭✭✭Moving2017

I haven’t got anything from them in recent days! I must be out of their end of the month target audience!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,538 ✭✭✭bmc58

I got a similar survey a few weeks ago and I e mailed RED C about it.They apologised and blamed a "partner" for the error.Give them an e mail about their error, you might get another survey as compensation.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,538 ✭✭✭bmc58

I was in that bracket but not complaining now.Qualified for nothing for about two weeks then a €5.€4,€2,€2 since Sunday.Strange way RED C works at times.Personaly I would prefer a little more consistancy and less of this wondering whether I will get to the €50 by the 29th.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,862 ✭✭✭✭Paul Tergat

Yeah I get what you mean. I think at some point we all say to others in the same situation you will get there at some point, don't worry about when. However, when in the position you just want to get over the line. I'm on 44 / 45 (€1 partner since start if June!!!) so don't think I will get there this month.

Once this month is over is should be full steam ahead in the run up to the end of the year

Got offered a short 40c (5mns) from Triaba a few minnutes ago.Second qualifying question was,Would I be willing to provide my Name.Address and Phone Number.I said No and didn't qualify.I thought this was a strange request from a survey company.Anyone get similar questions?

I took a punt on it because I saw ipsos in the address line, it's an EU survey, two 'tasks' monthly for a few months. Rewards include AllGifts.ie

It basically registers you, but it didn't tell you much in fairness I know.

    The registration email said this:

By joining the What You Expect panel, you will be representing the citizens of Europe – and of Ireland! As a panel member you will complete an on-line survey that takes an average of 20-30 minutes each month. As a reward for being an active member, you will collect points each month. You can convert these points into gift vouchers or choose to support a charity. You can opt-out at any time.

Ipsos commits to the highest standards in research; information you provide will be treated in strict confidence and used for research purposes only. Please click here for more information about data protection. For further details about the panel, please contact us at: support.ie@whatyouexpect.eu.

I joined the what you expect panel afew months ago. You get one survey with 2 parts each month. When you do 3 surveys u get a bonus points, I get 5€ all gifts every 3 months due my next one in September. Its not the most exciting surveys it's always about inflation rates and cost of living etc

Thanks lucalux for your reply. It sounds legit by your explanation. But I'd say a points system of rewards wouldn't be a good payment method.I'm not dissapointed I declined it.Thanks again for your reply.

I was signed up to what you expect earlier in the year. The 'tasks' were a pain in the proverbial and the rewards low. I packed it in after about six months.

On the contrary I quite like the What You Expect surveys. It obviously feeds into some ECB committee somewhere if only as a temperature taking exercise across different Member States.

I got one of these this morning with the same result, put in my date of birth and said i wasn't paying attention too😂 was for 3 euro too so might try again later.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,862 ✭✭✭✭Paul Tergat

Sat on €47, get a €5 invite and it doesn't like the occupation - good old RedC!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,538 ✭✭✭bmc58

That's a messed up "Partner Survey" that was doing the rounds a while ago.Give RED C an E Mail about it. Don't think you will be able to access that survey again after failing to do it once.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,538 ✭✭✭bmc58

Frustrating. We've all been there with RED C.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,514 ✭✭✭Kittykat67

I dont know if it was a survey done by any companies we use or if it was done another way but out of curiosity did anyone do a survey on the rose of tralee. They stopped the use of the crown because of a survey they said but all the comments online seem to think it was a bad idea. I was just thinking about it myself. I think they should have kept it as part of the tradition

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,277 ✭✭✭✭OmegaGene

I thought acumen forget about me but they sent a €4 survey that was nice and easy and only took 10 minutes, I could do with a few more like that 🤔

Got 1€ from acumen after silence for nearly 6 weeks, not sure why they went so quiet on me

Red C gave me €3 today for a survey about insurance I definitely shouldn't have qualified for.

After the qualifying questions I had it completed in less than five minutes. I suppose it makes up for some of the ones they've kicked me out of for no reason 😕
