As it says on the tin guys, is it a safe option to sign up for duel fule plans (Gas and Electricity) with one company, or is it safer to sign up seperatly with companies and their primary business i.e. Electric Ireland - Electricity / Bord Gais - Gas?

My own opinion is to have different accounts with different suppliers.

Companies urge you to "bundle" because they then have a bigger stranglehold on you and you are less likely to leave.

So simply check the unit rates offered and compare them. If the bundle is as good as the best individual rates, then go for the bundle. Then set a reminder to check back in 12 months and switch to another supplier.

I have always had dual fuel suppliers.

Always switch each year to whoever is offering the best rates.

Always done dual bundle, always switch every year. Definitely save money when comparing bills. Although this year will probably be different since we're getting fcuked with energy prices without lube.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue
