Location of workplace in Map apps moves

The place where I work uses an app for messages and clocking in and out.

A lot of times clocking in and out on the app fails because of a location error - even if you able to clock in that morning you might not be able to click out.

I found out last night that on the Apple Maps and Google Maps apps that the building I work in is showing as being in the wrong place - it shows as being in the grounds of another building about ten minutes away. And since it occasionally does work I’m assuming the location in the map apps moves a lot.

What could cause this and what can be done to fix it?

We don’t have an IT department and most people just use the finger scanner so I will have to actually tell HR the problem and how to fix it.

but I don’t have a clue.
