LG 50" TVs

There were a few differences between the 2 sets.

The 866 can decode Dolby Vision. It Has an edge lit panel to the direct lit of the 756. The 866 also has local dimming. The 866 panel can do 40Hz-120Hz the 756 is just 50Hz.

The 866 also has 2 HDMI ports that are HDMI 2.1.

On the downside both these TV's are now discontinued with no more stock arriving. The NEW 2022 NANO cell TV's are released or on their way.

The NEW 2022 range has the 50NANO766 hs been released coming in at 649 Euro

The 766 is pretty much the same spec as the 756.

We are also waiting on more stock of the 766 to arrive as we have sold through our first batch.

Thanks for coming back to me.

I'll see of our IT team can remove them from our site. However there is no "Buy It Now" button on the TV's product page so you are unable to purchase them via our website.

Unfortunately I do not make up the pricing on NEW televisions and when they are released they are always at a higher price than the clearance pricing on TV's that are being replaced. It is the same every time a new line gets released the older lines get cheaper to clear and the NEW versions are usually the price the older one was when it was first released.

At the moment there is really only one 50" available from Sony the 50X90Su but it is priced at 1379 Euro so its way outside of your set budget.

Philips have a bit more selection in a 50" They have the 50PUS8556 priced at 599 Euro

Also the 50PUS8705 priced at 729 Euro

Samsung have the QLED the 50Q60A coming in at 499 Euro

Also the 50QN94A priced at 745 Euro

Or the 50BU8500 priced at 645 Euro

There is also the Panasonic 50JX800 coming in at 449 Euro

Unfortunately I can not guarantee apps on any product, as the years go support for certain apps can get stopped but this is usually many years down the line.

Personally I prefer the image on the Philips, as it gives better contrast and colour.

It uses an android operating system which perform better than Samsung's own one.

The Philips is Direct lit. It also has 4 HDMI 2 of which are HDMI 2.1. The Samsung has no 2.1 HDMI. The Philips can also decode Dolby Vision.

The Ambi light feature is also very good but can be switched off if you do not want to use it.
