Sockets stopped working when I was cleaning a sandwich maker

    Hi,

I was cleaning a (plugged in) sandwich maker with water and a sponge and the electricity has stopped working. The lights are working but the sockets all around the apartment are not working now.

All trip switches are up. I turned them off and on again. No luck. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Also ... for safety sake, never clean any plugged in electrical appliance with sponge and water. Even when plugged out, water and electricity will still be a safety risk when the appliance is plugged in again.
