Looking forward to Lost Ollie on August 24th. It's a 4 part live action animation hybrid. Directed by Peter Ramsey, who co directed Into The Spiderverse and criminally underrated Rise of The Guardians. Shannon Tindle is the "creator", its adapted from a book, and he's also the main writer. He was the creative force behind Kubo and the Two strings for a large part of its production.

I actually enjoyed it for what it's worth, but I'm under no illusion that it's in any way a good film. The thing is that a LOT of people have watched it this week, despite knowing it was going to be bad, and that means it does big numbers. How many of those people are going to subject themselves to a second, or a prequel, though? Again you have to question the decision making at Netflix.

One thing to note though is that the prequel will allegedly focus on Chris Evans' character, and the Russo Bros will not be involved with it.

Here's a film for later, The Trip. Superbly crafted slapstick violence when a couple visit a holiday home. Great humour, pacing, dialogue, characters and interaction. Cracking actress playing the missus. Best Norwegian flick I've see this month or ever. Laugh out loud moments and no fluff on this one.

I've no idea what the movie is in fact like, but "Needle in a Timestack" is a title so stupid it's kinda glorious.

Also "Eye in the Sky" was a pretty good thriller; simple bit of tension derived from a very modern premise of a drone strike. Very much a "bomb ticking" kind of structure.
