Where can I demo a VR headset before buying?

I'm a VR blank slate.
New laptop on the way so I can run high end games now.
I believe I can play games like GTA 5 in VR, and resident evil.
All of which I'd love to try.
Only thing is some 1st person games in the past make me feel dizzy and sick, so before I commit to a couple hundred purchase of a VR headset I'd like to demo one.
Is there an outlet that facilitates this, like you used to be able to demo games in electronics stores back when?

Hmm not really, plus with Covid still about it's a bit risky to be sharing headsets... though I guess you could always try one at the arena arcades: https://zerolatencyvr.ie/
I think if you buy a VR headset off Amazon you should be able to return it within 30 days. Also check the policies at Meta.
Fortune favours the brave might be the way to go with VR :)

As it happens, I understand the majority of popular titles are NA on VR.
GTA, resident evil, metal gear solid.
I was hoping to blast up on zombies immersively but, alas, it appears this has not yet come to market.

GTA San Andreas is coming to the Quest headset soon
Many games have VR mods too, so be sure to check if the particular game you want to play has a VR workaround.
Also you can use a piece of software called VorpX which essentially makes a lot of games VR: https://www.vorpx.com/supported-games/

Resident Evil 4 is available in VR. And seems to have got good reviews as well.

Think only through mods? Officially it only released on PSVR I believe.
