Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lidl in lusk. Site limited to 24kW max,

There is also a new similar charger in lidl Wicklow town, the Wicklow store is reopening this week but charger was not yet powered up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,878 ✭✭✭zg3409

Shore road Belfast. Out with the old charger. It has been broken since last July. In with the new 50kW charger with 22kW AC socket. Recently there was no working 50kW charger anywhere in Belfast. Now there is one, and free to use.

  • Moderators Posts: 12,385 ✭✭✭✭Black_Knight

Tesco White Pines, Stocking Avenue, Dublin opened yesterday. Being a new store, and forward thinking, Tesco put in a single 22kW AC charger.

    Added to Plugshare.

New LIDL that recentlly opened in Ardee has at least one DC charger now my wife tells me. Doesn't show in Plugshare yet. The site is along N2 south end of the town. I'll verify that it works when I call there tomorrow.

Not powered up as of 18/02

6 x AC outlets in Connemara. Overnight accomodation and activity centre and resort. Delphi Adventure Resort. Added to plugshare app

  • Moderators Posts: 12,385 ✭✭✭✭Black_Knight

Limerick Ballysimon looks to be active. Dual socket 150kW and a 50kW (with 22kW untethered AC). Same old basic hub.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,725 ✭✭✭✭AndyBoBandy

I saw though that the HPC has the same 4 plugs on it like the newest unit in Mayfield (& Tuam)...

So looks to be an improvement on the bog standard 2 unit hub!.. .3 spaces can charge 3 CCS or 3 CHAdeMO simultaneously

N17 services near Tuam on main Galway Sligo road. 2 x 200kW chargers. Each can charge up to 2 cars at once. Each has 4 cables, Two ChaDeMo, two CCS. Up to 4 cars can charge in total on the site. No AC option. Live and operational. Supermacs and other food options on site. Opened last weekend. The 200kW is reduced if more than one car charging on each charger.

New CCS and ChaDeMo x 2 chargers at red car park at Dublin airport. Free to use, but can only be reached by entering and exiting red pay long term car park. They old AC chargers were replaced. These are non esb and don't need an app nor card to activate. So if parking a few days at airport pick the red car park when booking.

New Tesla supercharger at Enfield Johnstown estate live from today according to others reports.

    Tesla only

May not be listed in the Tesla nagivation app yet and may take time to appear on Tesla website. As a result cars may not preheat battery and so maximum charging speed may not be reached, but they are on and open apparently.

Handy for those Dublin Galway/Sligo trips, with a nearby hotel for food.

Passed lidl charleville earlier on, sorry about the poor quality and angle, but looks like a DC charger is going in to their new store which opens on the 28th

Finally, A fast charger between limerick and cork

Update on this - looks to have gone live today, there was a leaf looked like it was charging at it earlier and it's showing as available on the easygo app. Interestingly while there are 2 connectors it seems only one can be used at a time as the chademo was showing as used and the CCS as unavailable at the time

App shows 1X Chademo and 1XCCS, both 50kW

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,878 ✭✭✭zg3409

Amber Fermoy now live. Up to 2 cars can charge at once on left charger. Up to 2 cars can charge on right charger (one AC). Only 3 parking spaces as per usual madness.

The icon for the "4" is wrong as 2 cables are chademo, 2 are CCS.

Out for dinner earlier at Creacon Wellness Retreat https://www.creaconwellnessretreat.com/

Only a km or so from the junction on Wexford side of new Bridge south of New Ross.

Great food in lovely setting, 2 tethered Zappis. Only 7kW, but over a few hours was worth plugging in.

Portrush northern Ireland. New charger with CCS and ChaDeMo (no AC) to replace old Chademo charger. Interesting that AC was disabled on new charger as it was deemed to be more of a problem than a help. Still free to use like all ESB chargers in NI

    Added to plugshare app.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,878 ✭✭✭zg3409

Monaghan town. Old triple head 50kW esb replaced with 150kW + 50kW. 150kW can charge 2 cars at the same time. Only 3 parking spaces so try keep middle space free when possible. 4 cars could charge at once if there was 4 spaces. Live now.

4 charge points added to City Square shopping centre, Waterford. Not sure exactly when they went in, but very recent. They're on the GoCharge network. The app says they're 22kW. Cost €0.30 + €0.45/kWh. Beside the valet people. I see they're already on Plugshare.

Avondale Forest Park in Rathdrum, Co.Wicklow is reopening after a major renovation. They have 6 painted EV spots with 3 dual EC chargers. Didn’t have my EV with me so I don’t know if there is a charge or if free. I added to PlugShare. More info about the park here www.beyondthetrees.com

Mount Juliet Golf course. Just in time for a big event Irish open. Charger is 75kW capable, but supply is limited to 37kW until it is upgraded. Pay to use. It may be possible to use both CCS and ChaDeMo at the same time as these chargers have the capability. Between Kilkenny and Waterford.

Rumours new 50kW charger in Lidl on shore road in Belfast may be operational soon. New store opening this week.

Meanwhile in Portrush NI a caravan park has added 4 X 22kW AC chargers. Portrush tends to be very busy during the summer with holiday makers and all chargers tend to be full at peak times . At this campsite there may be a sneaky £6 overstay fee once your car had finished charging for more than 20 minutes. I could not see the fine mentioned on the app, but it may be enforced. They take big deposit and you can limit how much you want to charge your car by, but don't leave it too long.

Dungarvan town council offices employee car park

    Charger supplied by epower

Details on how to activate charger don't work as charger is not visible on in-app map

Seems to be switched off at weekends rather annoyingly when carpark is open to public

An example of public money being spent on a charger that the public can't use

    Belfast. Pay to use. 41p/kWh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,878 ✭✭✭zg3409

Two the same day. Wicklow town is well covered with a few AC chargers and one 50kW easygo at lidl and one 50kW esb at Tesco . This charger was on site since February presumably waiting on esb networks to upgrade the supply. That's a 6+month wait!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,453 ✭✭✭✭DrPhilG

Sorta qualifies as a new location I suppose.

Rc11 in Derry has been operating at half power for years. Meanwhile they've been replacing nearly every other charger in NI.

Ecars finally committed to changing the Derry Rapid, and actually claim that they'll be installing a 100kW unit.

I don't normally list hotels on this thread, but lots and lots seem to be getting pay to use chargers. This is a good example of 4 chargers, 4 well marked spaces and presumably well maintained due to pay to use and app monitoring of status. Lots of hotels getting them. I have listed as many as possible on plugshare app. If planning a holiday try to stay in a hotel with a charger. It makes life easier.

New EasyGo units in Dublin City Council Leisure Centre in Finglas.

Drove by so no exact idea of how many or what speed units. At least 2, possibly 4.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 425 ✭✭Dubwat

@Gumbo Thanks for the heads up. These look really well designed and should relieve some of the pressure on the Circle K at Glasnevin cemetery.

Went by this morning and took some photos. Well laid out but will be inevitably ICED in morning/evenings by mothers visiting creche/daycare beside chargers.

Fast charger is separate from the slow AC one and there are 4 parking bays. Fast charger claims 75kWh per socket and has 1 each of CCS and chademo. AC has 2 sockets. Part of the EasyGo charging network.

I resized these for Boards. If someone from Plugshare wants full size, just PM me.
