Touchscreen issue on first gen leaf

Any Leaf owners had any issues with the touchscreen? I have a 2016 Leaf that has 33% of the touchscreen unresponsive.

I'm guessing there's no fixing this - I'll need to replace it. Are there any aftermarket options for this or will I need to call round all of the breakers? (we won't even mention original Nissan touchscreen as I assume that will cost more than the car!).

2014 one and right hand side of screen is dodgy.

This seems to be a theme - re. rhs of screen being dodgy. Mine is also non-functional on the rhs - and that same issue pops up in this thread => here

There's some very good info in that thread - but I neither have the time nor inclination to go soldering! I'm hoping that there's an easier fix possible at this stage.

I'd be surprised if there isn't a Leaf-driving boardsie who has not been down the road of fixing this. If you're reading this, there are a couple of us who would appreciate hearing how you got it sorted out :-)

@Andrea B. I haven't tried this on my car just yet as I'm away from it for a few days. However, I came across this screen recalibration drill that some have used and fixed the problem for them - might be worth a try...

1. Start the car. 2. Set the radio to FM. 3. Press MAP 3 times, Audio Power twice, and MAP one more time. This should open the System Diagnostic Menu. 4. Tap Confirmation/Adjustment. 5. Tap Display Diagnosis. 6. Tap Touch Panel. 7. Tap Touch Panel Calibration. 8. Follow the onscreen instructions to recalibrate the four corners.

It didn't work in my case. I don't know how Nissan can get away with this - without it being a recall item. It's as clear as night and day that there's an issue with this screen. These are not one-offs. If you go on to any EV forum, there are plenty of Leaf owners that find themselves with this exact issue. Not only do they not own up to it - but they're benefitting from it - with a 1000euro price tag to replace the unit.

I find it works if I use two fingers. So middle finger rest gently slightly away from where you want to press, then you press required part of right screen with index finger and it works.
