    Any presale for Amyl?

Dylan never skips Ireland. Expect a 3 Arena date. Although the venue is hoc full around then. Would have to be before the UK dates. Mid October.

Edit: Actually the dates look very awkward

    Sounds great at the moment

You'd almost think this was MCD making up for everyone missing them at hella mega. But it's definitely not that.

Amazed that Brad Paisley is playing the 3Arena

Outside of Garth Brooks I wouldn't know much of American country music and never heard of this guy. Sounds OK

Suppose he's popular at the back of the country 2 country shows

Definitely a big gig regret for me was not going to see John Prine who was supported by Sturgil Simpson in Theatre Royal Waterford about 5 or 6 years ago

It's an honesty system, I'm very curious as to how this goes.

They are fans of Minor Threat who used to do things like this. The cheaper ones are sold out now. I got one for a mate who is not working and two full price for myself and someone who is.

Very good show but only 1 short snippet of a Zeppelin tune

saw them in 2018 in Waterford (pity were missing out this time)

Bob Plant with Jimmy page should be performing under the name Led Zeppelin. Thats their duty to the fan base while they are still sucking oxygen

They did it 15 years ago and struggled in parts. I like that Plant doesnt want to do it without Bonham.

Just like the Beatles. As Macca said when asked about a reunion: "the Beatles don't exist".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 962 ✭✭✭Burty330

Plant and Page were / are LZ. The Beatles are long gone that's true.

YES are still performing on their zimmer frames so I see no reason why Zed can't give it a crack for a few dates here and there. When they're gone they're gone

YES are performing under 2 different guises though and one is inactive the last few years.

They don't have a duty to do anything for their fans.

Sure they do. Their fans bought the houses they live in. Get over your grovelling hero worship. They are just men and these men wouldn't acknowledge your existence if you were standing right it front of them.

When I put that message out I knew there would be a few anoraks come out of the woodwork to argue why they don't deserve to be given a led zeppelin reunion tour. How embarrassing 😂

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,833 ✭✭✭✭hynesie08

Which part of their houses did your Spotify streams pay for?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,974 ✭✭✭Penfailed

Oh Jesus. So much to unpick. You're unbelievably wrong. They don't owe anybody anything. I totally agree, they're just men but there's certainly no hero worship here. If there was a Led Zepplin reunion tour, I'd go and see it for sure. Do I think they owe it to me?! No. Because that's ridiculous. As it happens, I'm going to see a Led Zep tribute band at the end of the month.

It was one of those "tickets FROM $12". Probably 10 tickets for some PR.

I badly want to see Fleet Foxes back again in Ireland but I can't seem to do it for some reason...I feel almost 70 euros a tad too dear for me :'( might change my mind by next month though...Is the Collins Barrack a good gig site, looks outdoors?

Just want to add: Same concert venue with Alt-J around €51... FF gigs in UK around £35... so it gave me pause :(

So let’s suppose RP and JP follow your suggestion, do a couple of gigs and are shite.

Wonder who here will be first in line to call them out for their greed?

As Sir Thumbs Aloft famously said about a proposed Beatles’ reunion was “you can’t reheat a souffle”

I think you've quoted the wrong person. I'm in agreement with you.

You instantly assume the worst because you have more negative thoughts than positive. Most people would be grateful just to see them on stage again. And judging from Plants live gigs it's unlikely they would be shite. Being shite isn't an age thing anyway. Any band can be crap

Yep, some /most bands appreciate their fanbase. Others couldn't give af.

Ray Manzrik for example loved fans of The Doors. Sting couldn't care less about fans of The Police. Copeland on the other hand would love to perform for the fans again.

No human should ever spend energy arguing as to why a band shouldn't be performing while the still have they ability. That small minded view is completely alien to me🧐
