    Still no update on this.

Has anyone here made a recent first time application and had their supporting documentation registered as received? I don't care how long it takes once I know it's in the system. I'm starting to worry now that it was lost even though the tracking says delivered

Was it reported lost? If so it will take ages, if not you can try a standard renewal as it's only 3 years past expiry. Someone here posted a while ago that theirs took months when it was 3 years out of date, it used to be that anything less than 5 years expired was grand so hard to know.

I submitted a first time application online for my son on 31/05/2022 (posted the documents on 03/06/2022) it showed as receiving the supporting documentation on 14/06/2022 (We have received your supporting documents. We are now verifying these documents.).

As of the 4th July it is showing as (Your application is being processed). Hoping I can bring him to my brothers wedding Friday week but cutting it very close.

Would anyone know if the estimated issue date is accurate at the moment?

My passport is expiring in February 2023. I'm going to the Algarve in September.

Should I renew my passport before I go or is there any need?

I'd suggest you wait until you get back unless you're staying until March.

I wish, just going for a week unfortunately.

I'm thinking there shouldn't be any problem, but a quick google search said some countries require passports to be valid for at least six months beyond the dates of your trip.

We submitted our baby first application 26 may, estimated 12 July and looked like it was been worked on, but just got a photo resubmittion this morning 😩😩I reuploaded immediately , does any one know will this delay application much longer??

Yeah, I was thinking travel between EU countries with a member state passport shouldn't be a problem.

We applied on the 10th of January for our newborn and the tracker just switched to printing this morning. A friend of ours got a passport for their baby in 6 weeks though, so it really tends to vary.

What is the procedure for replacing a lost passport?

I read something that the replacement is only issued to the expiry date of the one you lost?

Submitted ours for a baby around the same time as you. Estimated issue date was the 11th July. Also applied for a child's renewal and it arrived about a wk before expected date. Had high hopes.

However, I too got a request for new photo on the 4th Julya nd sent it straight away. Issue date changed to 18th July. Not even sure if the new photo is acceptable. Heard nothing since. Doubtful it will be here by 18th as still down as processing.

Raging as it said the photo was up too close but it also says arms aren't supposed to be visable - and if I take it further back they will! Bit of an impossible task with a newborn!

I'm having trouble uploading photo for passport card renewal. I've had 3 rejections of 3 separate photos, which AFAIK meet the required specifications. Problem seems to be with the background. Last year I successfully uploaded the wife's photo for her passport, taken in similar conditions and accepted.

The seem impossibly picky, are they getting more demanding?

Hey I got an email back requesting further documents to prove my name and address. Does this mean they are actively looking at my application and will get my passport soon? My estimated dispatch was on July 14th.

I applied for a renewal at 9PM on Monday night and my passport arrived at 8am on Wednesday morning. Was pretty impressed with that turnaround time. My passport card arrived this morning as well.

Looking for some advice (we'll reassurance really as the timeline is getting bigger by the day).....has anyone done a first time child post application that required some additional information (just a birth cert) and how long after the additional info was received on the tracker did it take to complete / print the passport?

We sitting at almost 4 months now all in...app received on the tracker 3rd week of march, additional info received on the tracker just over a month ago....mainly due to desperation I'm daily calling and webchat but can't get anything apart from it all looks OK on the system.

    Thanks

How long is it expired? If over 5 yrs, you’ll need to send everything as for a first time applicant so it will take longer, otherwise if a standard renewal, it’ll take a few days

Child renewals take a few weeks, unless something significant has changed recently

Cant find answer on ryan air but flight was booked for child with double barrel surname, mothers side fathers side, but mothers sides name only was entered while booking. Will booking have to be changed to the double barrel name before check in?

Passport is gonna be issued with double barrel surnames.

Can someone advise or direct me to an answer somewhere?

Your name on the boarding pass should always match what's on the passport generally, sometimes in the past I didnt book the tickets with my middle name (middle name used to be on passport) and I never had an issue because the first and last name matched the passport.

But i would change the name on your tickets, too risky to go and possibly be denied boarding etc, Ryanair always say the name has to match whatever's on the passport
