I just don't get James Ryan at all, zero aggression , generally anonymous, I'm a leinster by the way .

All of that came from running a penalty we should have kicked into the corner, which we got no ground from and then knocked on, letting them build pressure back up. We look rattled without Sexton.

Was that for the knock on? If so he clearly called it as only scrum advantage so was over after a phase or 2.

This is getting a bit mad.

Dreadful. We are all over the place.

    Knock on surely?

VDF was being held in the ruck, if he had been able to get up he would have been where Smith sniped through.

VdF was being held in the ruck there before Smith’s break.

This ref has a really bad habit of signalling the wrong way before correcting himself.

Yeah was thinking the same. If so, surely its the responsibility of the Irish setup to tune into these small details on match day.

Sexton goes off and our game plan goes to absolute sh1te.

    Ominous times ahead.

It's a complete free for all at ruck time. I honestly don't know what you do when it allowed to be such a mess.

Tbf thats very smart by Smith to knock it back instead of going for the try

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,775 ✭✭✭Xander10

I might go back to bed

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,203 ✭✭✭✭Hurrache

Yeah, I was wondering myself what happened to it, there was no advantage from when he called it to when NZ got it.

It'll all come good at the World Cup

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,923 ✭✭✭✭JRant

Hahaha, that was clearly a knock on. TMO having a laugh with that one.

An absolute hammering is on the cards here. This has call come from Ireland errors and look completely rudderless without Sexton

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,203 ✭✭✭✭Hurrache

    "Clearly knocked it backwards"?

    Unbelievable...braindead from James Ryan....

Couple of dumb decisions cost Ireland a couple of trys

Going to be painful watching second half.

Apart from the bad handling, the poor scrummaging, the rush defence being slow up all too often, the missed tackles at phase one by the full backs in open play, slower than usual tracking back from the pack and an inability to get beyond the gain line when we do get some clean ball, things are going really good here.

Dickson isn't the reason we're losing buts he's been worth a few points NZ all the same. The breakdown is a free for all. JGP needs to take his head out of his arse.

This is so frustrating, we were the better side up until Sexton going off. We've been headless and disorganized since, and they've punished us ruthlessly.

    Being swatted away like flies

It was backwards from his hand. But then bounces forwards.

I'm rusty on my laws but I'm fairlynsure it only matters what happens immediately out of the hand.

This has been a bit like the Maori game, 3 tries in the 2nd quarter and suddenly it looks awful.

Still can't believe we were building a good attack at 7-5 down and then lost sexton and an intercept and here we are. Unbelievable how ruthless the ABs are.
