I have a laptop which is the i5 5th generation. I want to add a PCIe NVME SSD on this, But there is no SSD slot on my board. Is it possible to add an SSD to this? If possible, please tell me how?

check the model - should be somewhere on the sticker underneath

go to manufacturer's website, enter the model number and look up documentation

open up documentation to see if it has available port

or post the model number here and hope for the best

Thanks for the nice helpful reply. Someone tell me to add SSD on the DVD drive by using a caddy. But I want to add my SSD to the HDD drive position. Is it possible?

You can get an ssd in the same format as your current hard drive. May not be NVME but it will be significantly faster than before.

in most cases yes, you will need a caddy from aliexpress/ebay/amazon

it will not support NVMe drives however, only SATA

sata 3 2.5 inch ssd is what you want

your laptop doesn't have a pci nvme connection going to the hard drive as it's too old

you may not need any caddy holder at all as it will many cases likely work with the existing fitting in the laptop
