24 inch is a decent size

1080p resolution is fine for most and good value

if it's an older laptop then 4k may be a struggle to put out and 4k monitors are pricey

you could also look at buying a replacement laptop screen if it's your laptop screen that is gone, on ebay and looking at a youtube video for your model on how to remove the old and install the new one
