Video of two men whose families were attacked describing how they were attacked by gangs in the thousands and how the Police turned a blind eye and refused to help them.

"The post-match violence threatens to be an issue in parliamentary elections that will be held in two rounds from next weekend - with conservative and far-right opponents of President Macron spotting a massive opportunity.

For them, the real story was less the failures of organization (though these undoubtedly existed) and certainly not hooliganism by Liverpudlians (of which there was next to no evidence) - but rather the eruption of more thuggery from the run-down high-immigration areas around Saint-Denis.

More outrageous yet was the government's clear reluctance to call this out, for fear (according to critics) of alienating centre-left opinion by "stigmatising" the people of the Paris suburbs."

France is absolutely screwed.

What we have is ghettoisation of many of the 5-million strong French Muslims. There are effectively two societies in the country: French civil society, and the Muslim immigrant side.

I think France has gone past the point of no return and highlights the imperative and ever-present need to control our borders, limit migration, and - most importantly of all - encourage complete and compliant assimilation of legal migrants into the host country.

Tbh it is hard to feel sympathy for the former colonial powers, unfortunately it won't be only those countries affected by stuff like this. A lot of these migrants come to Europe with the idea that they are owed something. Europe is the home of the white man in their eyes, the troublemaker migrants don't differentiate between our ethnicities.

This is what I refer to as neo-racism.

It's the idea that a current population is somehow personally responsible for the actions of its government(s) / leaders of the past - even for actions taken hundreds of years ago.

It's almost that they delight in the current population being somehow "punished". We see this in @Augme 's post; "...I get a good laugh".

Imagine if I said the following: "Chinese people!? You're bringing this up? Of course they should suffer for what the Qing Dynasty got up to! Who cares what they think; we know what happened in the past and they've no choice but to put up with it".

I would be called racist, and rightly so.

Because the idea of punishing a racial or ethnic group based on the actions of the past leader / government is unconscionable.

But today, any typically "white" population is targeted in exactly the same way, with exactly the same kind of pseudo-twisted logic.

Innocent people and their families were attacked and mugged in a major European City during a sporting event. The police stood down and the Government of that country refuse to call it out for political reasons. Similar instances also happened in the UK where police/government ignored social problems for political reasons.

Heavy blame was wrongly placed on Liverpool supporters by the French Government and UEFA, I think this is a topic worth discussing, don't you?

This is a depraved version of what the Jewish people suffered for millennia; namely, the sick idea of Jewish deicide.

In other words, the Catholic hierarchy blamed Jewish people, collectively, for the death of Christ. Every new generation of Jewish people were still - almost by blood - responsible for the crime of killing Christ.

Why are those who come to a country supposedly just seeking safety, shelter, assistance and help…. Attacking people who are doing no more then going to watch a game of football ?

unless,, there could be a possibility that these thugs are not coming to the country, or elsewhere in the EU just to get help and protection ?
