Hi, I have a concrete base that was going to be used for a garden steel shed. 3m x 9m.

Question is, can I lay 6" cavity blocks on top of the concrete slab or will the concrete slab not be able to support the blocks?

    Thanks

Probably not, unless the slab was massively overengineered for the steel shed.

IIRC rule of thumb is 300mm deep and 3x thickness of wall, but ground dependent.
