Hello

if going for planning permission and there is an existing entrance to the site do I need to show site lines?

If you are looking to further develop the property, yes you would need to show sight distances.

Sounds like an application to build, so sight lines would be needed.

We have just gone planning approved on a site with an existing house (we will be demolishing and rebuilding). As the entrance was in place, we could continue to use it even without the 90m sightlines.

If the site is a greenfield, then you need to meet sightlines

I had the opposite experience with a similar situation to yours, I had two existing entrances with dropped kerbs etc at the footpath, and needed to show sight lines for new dwelling application despite knocking existing dwelling, must be area/council dependent
