Dog hair dryer

Any good recommendations for dog hair dryer?

my dogs don’t like to to pet shop for wash, did once and they hated it. Might because they are strangers and put protection on their mouth.

so I wash them at home. But everytime I have to use up like 10 towels to dry them.

and they would still be wet for a while.

I tried to use my own hair dryer but it’s too noise they are scared of it.

Ever think about using a drying coat, rather than a hairdryer? They're excellent! I have Ruff & Tumble ones for my long-coated GSDs... it takes just as long to dry them with a hairdryer/grooming blaster as it does with the drying coat 😊

It's pretty decent, has dried my Goldendoodle (40Kg) a few dozen times at this stage and still going.

On the noise side, it's pretty noisy so might not be the best fit if your own doggos are scared of the regular hair dryer, this is significantly louder.

I would like to see if there’s a machine has way less noise. My King Charles is extremely scared of noise. My Labrador is a bit better but he hated wash n dry. 😂 I don’t know why? I have to drag him to shower.

I have the same blaster as above. I use a happy hoody on my younger boy and turn it the blaster down so it’s not so loud because he’s not used to it yet - he’s only been dried twice with it as he doesn’t have his full coat yet.

The R&T coats can be restrictive around the shoulders for some dogs so something to be mindful of. I have Collared Creatures drying coats and find them brilliant because they cover their whole chest and most of their tummy. The band around the tummy is great too for supporting Bailey up the ramp.

That said I’d still use the blaster for Baileys legs if he’s been swimming as I don’t like to leave them wet with his arthritis and takes 2 mins to dry them. The odd time they’re actually washed I use the coat for a while then blast to get the loose coat out.

My lad will let me blast him with my Dyson hairdrier as it is not that noisy.

Another fan here of Ruff and Tumble drying coat. They are also good for putting on them at halloween (makes them feel safe and snug) and also can be used as a cooling coat in hot weather by using a hose on it and putting it on them.

There are some amazing dog products on the Collared Creatures website - beds etc!
