Immersion Switch Help

I bought a new immersion switch, it's different from the last one and not working. Someone posted this image in another thread, it's the new switch I have: Would I be right in saying I need to bridge the two empty slots? From 20/250 to L out on the top?

Yes. That’s correct. Use 2.5mm cable

Ok, I tried that and when I hit the sink/bath, there was a bright flash of electricity behind the switch.
I took everything out, and made sure they were in the right place, good and tight, and it happened again.
