    How long does Smyths take to dispatch an order? Ordered today and saying delivery by tomorrow but am sceptical of such a quick turnaround.

    I ordered a game from Smyths yesterday around lunch got the dispatch email ~2 hours later and the game was delivered today (i also selected standard shipping not 1 day shipping so i was surprised it arrived so fast).

    But if they sold a bunch of consoles today they might be slower getting them out the door

    Smyth's have loads of disc editions in store for reservation now... the day I decide I want to get a digital. None of those unfortunately.

    Actually scratch that, it says they're in stock in various stores but you can't reserve them. Maybe it's walk ins only.

    I just wish they would set up a waiting list rather than this "go live" in the middle of my work shift and then "out of stock" by the time I clock out.

    Yep, pay up front/deposit and go on waiting list for 1 console (i.e. no scalpers) would make sense. I think they will be easier to get this year.

    Seems its taken over a year and a half and now stock is starting to properly catch up with demand. Back even just before Xmas people would be driving across half of Ireland to get one never mind the year prior to that. Will probably be lots of people getting them out of their communion money etc. But seems now that if there is some in stock and it's not sold out with a few mins like it always use to be then most people have their ps5

    It was like this last year too. There was lots of stock around last summer. Stock would last for days in store. Anyone thinking of getting one for Xmas should get it over the summer and store it away. It'll be crazy again from the end of October onwards

    Damn. Been waiting for Smyth's to get more in and they have everything except what I'm looking for, a non bundle digital edition. The only game I'm actually looking to get for it at the moment is gran turismo and they even have a disc bundle with that.
