This is ideally set up for O'Sullivan to score heavily, regardless of the pink and black.

    Ronnie playing awful here.

Obviously a massive chance again missed by Trump looks Ronnie will stay far enough ahead to make it ok .

Okay but if the player pots the pink then lays down his cue, can the opponent insist he gets the black too?

I'm sure they can but goes against all snooker etiquette.

Trump shouldn't have played the cannon. There was free reds. It's gone wrong.

This is the world championship final...have we even had many one and only visit frame wins??

    What a fluke!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,586 ✭✭✭newmember2

Can he make that fluke count...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,965 ✭✭✭testtech05

Now that was a huge slice of luck for Judd. Maybe he was due one but needs to win this frame now

He needed to win 6-2 this afternoon and he has

Set up nicely for tonight now, especially if Trump can win the first frame.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,598 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Some performance by Judd. Fair play to him. He deserved that fluke for all the bad luck yesterday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,586 ✭✭✭newmember2

    Well done Judd Trump.

First session Ronnie lost all tournament. Trump hung on in there most would have folded. Expect Ronnie to ‘switch on’ for 3/4 frames.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

No... he can't. Common misconception. If there are more than 7 points in it, the game is over.

See the "end of a frame" section.

    • The striker leads by more than seven points with only the black remaining. They may claim the win at this point, but may also elect to pot the black despite having won the frame after potting the pink. This may be done if the striker wishes to complete a high-scoring break (see "Maximum break" below).

Too quick to write the match off. One session did the damage yesterday and one session pulled it back today. Game on.

    Ah Ronnie doesn't care

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,235 ✭✭✭Pussyhands

The match all depends on trump. He missed so many easy shots yesterday. Ronnie can't live with him when they go toe to toe.

Jaysus, I was out playing tennis all afternoon - came in to find no snooker on anywhere, I was full sure Ronnie had run away with it!

So what's the actual score going into tonight?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 13,829 ✭✭✭✭Exclamation Marc

    14-11 to Ronnie

How many time has the 1985 final been mentioned so far…..also is ‘where is that cue ball going’ doing any of the commentary………and Dennis (kyan-on) Taylor talking about how honest and professional all the players are….😡😡

I've heard "Where's the cue ball going???" every time I've turned bbc on - hence I'm sticking with eurosport!!
