    A forum I follow and sometimes comment on has the logo in grey and a line through it. What is this?

    Forums don't have logos. Are you sure that's not a user avatar, specifically the one for a closed or banned account?

    You've already been told - the person who started the thread is site-banned, so that's how their avatar appears.

    Mr E started the RIP thread, therefore you see his avatar beside that one, and so on and so forth. They don't change either.
