You make very good points and I agree completely, just felt it unfair you thinking I'm more concerned about ability of Government to maintain SW and that I'm seeing any of this from a Russian perspective, I genuinely am not and just asked an honest question which was not intended to question what was going but to just say caution is needed in determining factually particular accusations of war crimes.

I admittedly am disgusted by the double standards being applied when dealing with Ukrainian refugees as I've seen first hand how other refugees have been treated and I might add ones actually invited to Ireland by Government and coming from equally appalling situations. I just feel everyone needs to be treated equally and that just has not happened.

Finally, the Irish Government rightly offered support but without clearly understanding what they were offering and already cracks beginning to surface. Resentment is brewing which is regrettable but not at all surprising.

I'm not resentful of supporting anyone in difficulty, I'll just say wether it be an individual, family or group, there must be a plan in place to support, I just see utter chaos in the approach being taken.

I completely agree, I've lost count of the years this case going on.

I recall in my time in the mobile phone business, regular requests from Gardai for info on sims, phone numbers etc and won't discuss how these requests were handled but my god, Hoops had to be jumped through.

There was even talk that all prepaid Sims would have to be registered at one time, that never happened.

I've an open mind about what is or not appropriate from a civil liberties point of view but it would seem if evidence is irrefutable it should be permitted to be used, the crux of the matter in hand seems to be how evidence was obtained.

The BBC are about as unbiased as Russian state tv, they promote their country’s “interests”, seems the Joe Duffys think it is somehow a sign of intelligence to worship it
