Champagne socialists, zero connection with working people. SF have already eaten Labour's dinner.

They've lost their way long ago, they're more like FFFG Lite now.

Jesus Pat will you let it go.

Trump was taking the p1ss saying about painting the Chinese flags on the fighter jets and attacking Russia.

Why even bother bringing that up.

    He just can't resist.

Stupid man, is this what we pay this muppet to do? Hand out babies' dummies?

Ah he was just having a laugh. Bit of humour, you know? If you can’t bully a party colleague these days, who can you, huh?

Have to agree and besides Donnelly is a petulant child . He had a few Digs at Mc Guinness on Scare Byrnes show earlier in the week, I mentioned at the time, Not very clever or wise 😉

Scare also asked Donnelly about his absence since the Dubai story and whilst generally delighted when Donnelly has nothing to say, I was curious about his absence whilst the health service in shyte.

Mc Guinness has his faults but one of a very few Government TD's that dare ask difficult questions of ministers and department's, that what irritates Donnelly .

McGuinness is a wheedling whinger - an out and out populist.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,095 ✭✭✭griffin100

McGuinness is a great example of everything that’s wrong with our political system. Everything he says and does is driven by his ego and his need to re-elected. He even hired a PR form to enhance his reputation when he was a junior minister.

He has been grooming his son to take over the family seat for the last few years, putting him on the Dail pay roll where he was well groomed in how to get his snout into the trough (nearly €50k in overtime over 2 years from the job daddy gave him despite never having a desk). He also billed the taxpayer for bringing his wife on ministerial jollies and then with an absolute sense of entitlement argued that he should have the right to do so.

The sooner his ilk are driven out of the dail the better.

Brass neck spoofer Harry Crosbie getting a platform to champion his latest scheme for making money out of Dublin Bay

One of the best developers we have seen in the last 50 years.

    Transformed Dublin for the better.

Any comment on the content in the programme this morning?

And desperately flogging his 'buke' no-one wants to buy.

Basically f**k the wildlife, who wants those anyway?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 7,637 ✭✭✭Allinall

Is that the book where he's giving all the proceeds to the homeless charities? That one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,582 ✭✭✭leath_dub

Yes - it's ridiculous. Reroute the tolka, fill in the bay, lose the wildlife. The fact thatthey're going to be needing flood defences in the not to distant future to prevent the Clontarf Road being under the sa seems not to be a concern for Harry

Also - did he say to only sell these houses to "people who have jobs"?

Hardly Harry's "new" idea. He's been pushing that for quite a while. Even detailed drawings going back about 10 years appeared in The Irish Times.

Great news, Paul Harrington is working on bringing his Tuesday performances together for availability in the next few weeks.

Pat getting very excited by the growing Covid numbers.

Will he equate it to the disgusting scenes in and around the Aviva Stadium last Saturday evening.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,353 ✭✭✭Jinglejangle69

He’s wetting himself again over masks.

As if we didn’t have 30,000 cases a day when we all were wearing masks.

He just won’t let it go.

RTE and Newstalk's Monday morning meetings:

"It looks like there'll be no nuclear war and peace talks might work"

"Damn, is there anything new we can scare people with?"

"No .. let's just go back to Covid?"

    "Bingo".

Pat was one of the best broadcasters in the country, but he really has lost the run of himself with the mask stuff and vaccinating healthy kids, its not healthy. In a way he needs to get covid, get over it and then see its something we have to live with. Most people wore the wrong mask (eg not an N95) or wore it wrongly, using it for too long, taking it out of dirty pockets etc. Its just theatre Pat! The hse only delighted to have this to blame on the shambles that is our health care system.

Pat's personal fear of Covid is taking over his broadcasting.

I have no time for Healy Rae and gave himself and his brother numbers 14 and 15 or whatever at the end of the ballot at the last election but Pat and his team trying to say there was a homophobic slur in what he said to Leo is crazy stuff.

I would imagine it is also insulting to people who have had to endure real homophobic slurs.

Why would you give them a preference at all if you have no time for them?

But agree, the media attempting to blow this out of proportion.

It looks like the war is boring listeners. Time to move on to other controversies.

Apparently in PR you are better off filling in all the candidates and putting those you don't want right at the bottom as opposed to just putting in 1,2,3 or whatever and leaving the rest blank. I'm open to correction but that's always been my belief.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,395 ✭✭✭✭Furze99

If you don't vote for any fookers you don't like, then they can't get your vote. That's always been my way anyway. There's some I'd never give a vote to, ever.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,767 ✭✭✭Dakota Dan

Sure just like how they shuffled votes to get the greens in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,767 ✭✭✭Dakota Dan

I remember the big deal RTE made of Kenny’s 30th birthday then 40th birthday then 50th but it seems pat stopped ageing after 50 as there was no mention of his 60th or 70th they might have a do for him when he turns 80 in a few short years. Old Pat is well past his sell by date and should’ve retired when he hit retirement age

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,238 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

That is what I do anyway. But it is not out of a technical PR sense. More self satisfaction and a feel I am getting value out of vote. Great to put your worst option last out of all the candidates.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 568 ✭✭✭72sheep

Agreed. You might not always agree with pre-70 years Pat but you knew where he was coming from. Now it's just hysterical old man stuff and he's even trying more often to be funny/lighthearted - and that is never ever ever going to happen for Pat.

I'm gonna be a Debbie Downer here, I'm really sorry for the couple fleeing from Ukraine that got all their gear robbed staying in a Dublin hotel and they've been through sh1t no doubt, but if they have travelled as much as they say they have, filling your car up to the gunwales and leaving it overnight in a car park is an amateur mistake.
