    Cheering on ?

    I merely posted the facts.

If Trump had been ordered to pay 300k I'm sure that you would have been howling it from the rooftops.

"If Trump lost you'd have been howling it from the rooftops."

...so the same people are supposed to howl from the rooftops if he doesn't have to pay?

Genuinely bizarre post which makes very little sense whatsoever.

3 minutes...not very impressive for such an alpha male!

Daniels losing the case still doesn't change any of the facts of what happened including a payoff so it's a tad odd for trump fans to claim it to be a win for him....

No, I was referring to the quote I directly posted, from an interview he did with Fox News, not a speech he made in front of GOP donors.

I'll quote it directly in case the Twitter link wasn't showing up correctly for you. Bear in mind, he was asked about what the US should do about Ukraine:

'Well what I would do, is I would -- we would -- we have tremendous military capability. And what we can do without planes, to be honest with you, without 44-year-old jets, what we can do is enormous, and we should be doing it and we should be helping them to survive and they’re doing an amazing job'

As for your comment about Trump having a gmail account, again, the email was sent TO a gmail account, not FROM a gmail account. Nobody, not one person, except for you, has made any claim about Trump having a gmail account. Your false accusations on such are just a way to try and detract from the content because you know it's difficult to try and explain or justify the actual content. Same with how you're ignoring the content of what Trump is quoted as saying above, by making reference to something completely different that you can justify.

Whats wrong with that quote that acknowledges the drone strike capabilities of the USA. That quote is worthy of derision how exactly? Other posters saw "plane" mentioned and immediately gag reflexed into thinking it was about the time he told a joke so I naturally assumed it was from that speech.

Erm, no. The sender was from Donald J Trump. Bring up the tweet again so everybody can see. You were taken , but thats what happens when you allow yourself to be informed by agenda driven activists on twitter. You're twitter educated which explains why you posted the above quote as a slight against Trump , when in fact its a slight against the US military , the same one that currently backs Joe Biden. . All because some random nobody on twitter told you how to think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,274 ✭✭✭BruteStock

Btw , Trump would need a Gmail account to receive a mail through Gmail. Either way the header shows he had an account. Ever wonder why that (fake) story never got off twitter 🤦‍♂️ 😂

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,962 ✭✭✭✭Penn

It's worthy of derision because it's absolute word salad with no real salient point or thinking behind it. "...what we can do is enormous, and we should be doing it and we should be helping them to survive and they’re doing an amazing job"

There are political consequences to sending drones to the area. There is a significant risk to dropping bombs on populated areas. His response, as a former President, to the question of what should the US do regarding Ukraine, is "We would win and we should win and they're doing good anyway".

As for the email, here's the image that was posted (which was the gmail account which received the email, not one who sent the email):

    Untitled Image

As can be clearly seen, the screenshot is of the Gmail mobile interface, because the email was sent TO a gmail account. The account the email came FROM, is only shown as Donald J. Trump <contact@ as the rest is cut off due to the mobile interface. I also signed up to Trump's newsletters using a fake Gmail account I use for spam. Here's a screenshot from the most recent email received from his newsletter.

    image.png

As you can see with the full screenshot from desktop, the email came FROM a donaldjtrump . com email account, and was sent TO a Gmail account (mine). Trump (or rather, his newsletter managers) does not need a Gmail account to send emails TO a Gmail account, because that's not how emails work.

Just to make it as crystal clear as possible, here's another two screenshots. I would note that emails are received from the names Donald J. Trump, DonaldJTrump.com, and even Donald Trump Jr and various others. However they all come from the same newsletter email address.

    image.png image.png

So again, nobody but you has ever claimed on this thread, that Trump has a Gmail account. I have no doubt however that in a few weeks when something comes up that you can't reasonably defend Trump on, you'll try to dismiss it by claiming about how people here actually believe Trump has a Gmail account, even though nobody does.

I'm leaning more towards Brutestock thinking the email was actually a private message, through Gmail Chat/Hangouts (meaning they would both need Gmail accounts rather than email), and that Trump was actually sending a random Irish email account with a fake name a message to give only them a secret chance to come have dinner with him in Mar-A-Lago.

Perhaps he's displaying the technical prowess required to land the plum gig of Truth Social System admin?

Also - While we're at it.

Trump STILL hasn't posted on his own Social Media site.

I mean , he's not even trying to pretend that it's a real thing and not just yet another scam to grift money from idiots.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,101 ✭✭✭✭Leroy42

I find this really odd. Cannot see the logic in him not posting. Whatever about the flaws in the set up, there is no doubt that if Trump were to regularly post then the uptake would be massively increased. So why is he (or likely his PR person) not even bothering to try? No matter what platform, lack of updated content will lead to the platform dying out. It is the constant updates that creates the traffic

Expectation not meeting reality. He expected tens of millions to join the site Day 1, and he'd in essence have his Twitter feed back. What's happened instead is that the number of people joining was lower than expected, and even then the site wasn't capable of processing the number of accounts. I read yesterday that he currently only has about 0.2% of the followers he had on Twitter, and that's weeks after launch where more people have been able to join than the initial launch. Plus they're only on iOS, with no Android or website.

So now the Truth Social name/brand is sullied. He'll probably mention how great it is if he's ever asked about it, but chances are he'll rarely, if ever, use it. He'll likely use it mostly for fundraising. My guess is that if he does indeed announce he's running in 2024 (and the reason he hasn't announced yet is because he'd have to report what they're using campaign funds for, rather than now where he can ask for contributions and spend as he likes), he and the GOP will use that to try and force Twitter/Facebook into letting him back on by claiming that not allowing a Presidential candidate on the site is unfair with regards the election. I wouldn't be surprised if, being further removed from Covid and Jan 6th by that point, Twitter/Facebook might indeed allow him back on.

He's made his money and he would have to pump some of it back in to get things up and running?

And we all know how he feels about spending money...

The App isn't even available in Ireland. So Global. Much truth.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,101 ✭✭✭✭Leroy42

Sure, but there is little doubt that he is the number one driver of the platform. By getting involved he will pretty much guarantee it will make money, and conversely by continuing avoid using it he is guaranteeing that it fails.

Sure, the take up is low, but posting a few lines each day, will drive traffic and lead to more money. Just seems like a no brainer.

This stock-market SPAC scam is still tooling along, trading lower than it's peak but not crashing. As long as Trump is making money from the market, why do anything? I can't wait to see the companies disclosures on its balance sheets about trading by principal owners... hah...I'm deluding myself.

That's the thing. It's not like doing a copy/paste to it for all of those "From the desk of .." posts that his Twitter proxy puts up would be in any way difficult.

I just cannot understand why there is absolutely nothing being put there.

It just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
