I know it's only something small but is anyone else having issues with the graphics on Sky Sports F1? Finding it really hard to see things like times/driver names down the left, the radio text between pit and driver and the tyre types. Seems to be a mixture of text size and the colours used.

    I'm allergic to Facebook groups.

This quali session will be fascinating. I'm started to believe that merc are having real issues and it's not just sandbagging. I watched an interview with Andrew Shovlin yesterday and he was being very cagey about the porpoising but he looked absolutely exhausted like he'd barely slept in days.

It's very poor from a UX point of view and terrible from an accessibility point of view. What I'm watching now I'm guessing is around, maybe slightly better than 1080p and it's still fairly annoying having to fairly heavily scan for a name. The stroke width on most of the text is far too much. Even the H and M for tyres don't stand out because of the opposite, thinner strokes mean the colours don't clash how they should.

Ahh looks like Mercedes have found that magic button afterall! HAM suddenly .08 off MAX on a lap where he even had time for a couple of snappy corners!! Has normal service resumed???

Merc have found there pace but I'd assume there's more pace to come out of the RedBull. Merc looks lower and not bouncing down the straight

    Here come Mercedes

Aaaaaand RUS now goes quickest….. I don’t believe for one second they suddenly found a fix overnight!

EDIT: Max back on top… qualy is going to be close!

Russell gone fastest now, not that anyone should be surprised with the Merc being quick

Whatever about Mercedes usual shenanigans, it’s fantastic to see the Ferraris back in the mix

Mercedes in the mix here - it's going to be interesting to see how much everybody has been holding back come qualifying.

It's nice to see them at the front, hopefully some poles and wins coming their way. When I started watching F1 as a kid I was obsessed with Ferrari and Schumacher, love to ser them back fighting for championships

Verstappen can still go second quicker going by testing times. Still think Mercedes are about 6 to 8 tenths behind. Ferrari very close with Red Bull. Mclaren nowhere near the top half.

Graphics on screen not working all the way through P3

"Well, seems to me Martin that drivers can make a difference, and while Redbull still have the best car - the margin that we've seen here isn't quite as large. So that might put a bit of pressure on Verstappen and Perez"

Is Crofty ignoring the fact that Verstappen is World Champion? He could make a case about Perez with the quote above.

I would take that Grid if it comes from Qualification , Top Three teams almost on par , Redbull car just looks like there is loads left in it . but that would be a nice mix and battle into the first turn

Nice job from Kevin Mag .

    Very interesting P3

Mercs have found their speed although Russell is still bobbing around too much, Hamilton seems to have fixed the problem.

Ferraris 'are back' in contention too and even Haas are showing some speed.

    Bring on 3 O'Clock

McLaren are nowhere, surprised by that.

In hindsight, maybe that dodgy FIA business/Covid happened at the right time and let them concentrate a bit more on this year. I really hope that it all works out!

Hamilton had DRS open so the porpoising effect wasn't as bad as yesterday when DRS was closed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,909 ✭✭✭Joeface

even with it closed on the last run he did down the start finish straight it was there but no where near as bad .

    still behind Redbull and Ferrari

I'd agree, I used to support Ferrari and RedBull but over the last few years I don't really care who wins once its good racing and close championships. Would love to see 3 or 4 teams in the mix for the constructors

Okay here we go. Good to be back for the first qualifying session because yes testing is great and free practices are a step up. Qualifying is when they start sucking diesel.

No lap times shown on the graphic??

Annoying isn't it - doesn't even look to be room for them as in not a glitch.

That McClaren looks visually wonderful - although I think it will struggle to look good in the times.
