I have an old ewe since 2016, she has the old tags, I bought her in

From reading up on it, I need to tag this ewe with the new EID tags - is that correct?

The factory should be able to tell you what's needed when you're booking them in

I would imagine they would have to give you the official line if you called them, has anyone sent ewes to the factory with the wrong older type tag?

A tag set is about €2.50. For peace of mind and to avoid potentially drawing hassle and the wrong kind of attention on yourself, I'd urge you to re tag her and record this re-tagging in your flock register.

If someone on here tells you to send her in and she gets thrown in the skip for improper tagging, what are you going to do then.

With all the messing you'd have the factory phoned ten times over , I've told you what to do, the factory we go to demands that every sheep has proper tags

Hi All, Trying to order replacement tags on the Mullinahone website. It's driving me mad. Wont accept the tag numbers i am entering. Has anyone gone through the process here?

Is that for sheep tags ? To be honest have never heard of anyone actually doing that for sheep .If they need tagging just stick in the next set of EID ones you have and write it in the book .

No problems with Cormac inputting the numbers. Haven't dealt with mullinahone in ages so don't know.

well i found out what the problem was. I wasnt entering the letter at the end of the tag number! I has to replace allot of tags. I bought store last back end and they were all tagged but must have been just tagged the day they were brough to the mark because allot of them got dirty infections in the ear and i had to cut the tags out of them.

Want to sell them now in a couple of weeks and had to replace the missing tags. Nice texel ewe hoggest. Hope i get on ok with them.
