Have the makings of a nice winter bike (minus frameset) in my spares box, so hoping to pick up a useable frameset to hang everything on!

Ideally a Dolan preffisio or ribble winter trainer etc, but not overly fussy as long as it’s cheap, straight and has mudguard mounts!

What have ye got for me?

Would a Planet X Pro Carbon be of interest?

Its the right size but I’m not 100% sure it has mudguard mounts..

Might be, can it fit 25mm tyres? What size is it and how much are you asking for it?

It can take 25mm tyres for sure.

    It’s a size L (58cm top tube).

€350 including frame, fork, headset, rear mech hanger, seatpost and clamp.

I have one of these in size 58 - after buying it I decided it was a bit too big for me so I bought the 56.

    https://www.wiggle.co.uk/brand-x-rd-01-road-bike-frameset

It's in brand-new condition and still in the box. It's never had any parts fitted to it.

I have 25 mm GP4000s on it which are actually 27 mm wide - I think a 28 will go on the front with room to spare, and the rear has tons of clearance (you'll need a long-reach rear caliper for the rear).

However, it doesn't have front mudguard mounts (but it does have rear mudguard mounts). I have an SKS Chromoplastic on the rear and a Race Blade on the front.

There is a rear mech hanger but no seat post clamp, headset or BB cable guide. These can all be gotten from Wiggle (as can spare hangers).

€150 (plus shipping if required - I've no idea how much that would be).

Going to actually hold off and get something with full guard mounts but thanks anyway

Thanks for this, sounds like a bargain but going to hold off and get something with front and rear mudguard mounts

    Still looking for something.

Mudguard mounts no longer a must have but not looking to spend more than 200-250 if possible and want something that’ll work with the brake callipers I have (not long reach), which rules out a Dolan preffisio too as it turns out.

Must be a few auld alu frame carbon fork yokes gathering dust in the back of sheds?

    I’ve a Cube Peloton but it's a size 56...

    Ah I’d say that’s too small, I’m currently riding a 60cm frame
