How do you recommend preventing internal phone storage becoming critically full?

I factory reset my 32 GB Samsung A10 after the internal storage became over full. This done the trick fixing my internal storage full problem.

Does anyone know how to clear the ' Other' storage section in My Files, apart from a factory reset again?

No. It's likely it's internal files which are more manipulatable. Not classed as app files or system files but inaccessible to delete.

Unfortunately 32gb of internal storage is not really seen as enough these days as Android uses so much.

Even for a a less than 3 year old phone it would have been limited at 32gb new.

Try "Files" by Google...it works for me, on my trusty old Moto G5s.
