Can no longer do job due to health reasons.

I have worked for organisation in excess of 15 years, a nationwide business.

10 plus years were in a desk role 30 mins from my home, I was then transferred to another office in a non desk role where I was travelling a lot and a more physical job, it is in excess of an hrs commute each way. I didn't mind the transfer, I liked the job so that wasn't an issue.

2 years ago pre covid, I started having health issues and was in constant pain. Due to delays with covid etc tests were put on long finger. It was obvious what is wrong due to family medical history, tests were really just required for confirmation and to enable me to see specific specialist. I was hospitalised 5 times and the cause has recently been confirmed, it's progressive and affects my mobility and my ability to commute to and from work. My brain Is 100% fine unfortunately my body isn't.

When we first realised what was wrong I put a request in through HR to transfer back to desk role in more local office. Not only would I be able to get to this office, I can easily get lifts to and from on a daily basis, the office is wheelchair accessible and has lifts etc. The office I am currently assigned too is not.

Due to covid I had to work from home some of the time They tried to not allow this as to be honest there really was not enough work that I could do. I was given a 12 week transfer to another office which was accessible however I was told I had to go back to assigned office, I can't. I cannot get there as I can no longer drive and even if I could get a lift, I cannot get into the office as you cannot climb a stairs in a wheelchair.

It's now at a point where I am going to have to return to assigned office or leave. There has been no movement on transfer lists yet I am aware they have taken new staff on.

I am absolutely raging and I feel because of my health issues I am being forced out. Yes I have had sick leave but that is because I cannot get too the office and been forced to take sick leave due to not being allowed to work from home as no work available for me to do from home

Calla to hr disability office are now ignored. I don't want to leave , I just want a transfer to offices that I can get too and that are accessible I am also to young to retire.

Does anyone have advice, really cannot afford a solicitor
