I think a somewhat good comparison is the National League in England.

The National League record each match (for many reasons that include for Stat keeping, accountability on events that happen, and for teams that may not have the facilities themselves to record)

The National League then send the footage to the data provider within 24 hours of the match ending, and that footage is then made available to the teams in those matches. If the teams want further analysis to be done, that's a deal they do themselves with the data provider, but at least the match footage is there.

It's beneficial for so many reasons, but I also think for Opposition Analysis, it would improve the sports (including Camogie and Ladies' Football in there too).

The company I'm with (data provider to GAA teams and Media) still get some fairly surprised responses from teams when we show what's possible with simply a camera and basic analysis and they just haven't had the facility for those. GAA really need to get with the times on it.

Like I said, it doesn't need to be public footage, but all Intercounty Teams should have the matches freely available to them.
