What is this?

Just moved into a new build, This is beside my meter box and on a few more houses. I'm not sure what it is.

Any ideas what it might be for. Connection for a electric charger is my guess but I don't know.

Its a junction box.

If it has it's own designated fuse in the fuse box it is indeed for a car charger

It is most likely a point where a car charger can be connected. I see this a lot on new builds now.

The cable will already be in installed in the house so if you opt for a car charger in the future no major work will be required to install a cable.

To look in, turn all four 'knobs' from 1 to 0 and then pull the front face away.

Once the face is back on, move them back to 1 to re-lock.
