Double gang light switch

Hi, Im changing a double gang light switch at the moment. The one that's in position is standard white plastic. The earth is connecting to backbox. The new double gang I'm fitting is chrome. Im wondering if i need another earth strap going from my metal socket to the back box.. Or can i just take the existing earth and…

I'm not an electrician .....but, until the professionals come alone - to be doubly sure I guess you could loop an earth strap from back box to the earth lug on new chrome socket.

Both the switch and back box (if it’s metal)need to be earthed.
