The liberal Qanon hunt for justice marches on 😀

Leaving somewhere because people are arguing against you and then claiming you’re off because it’s an echo chamber must be peak Trumpism

He’s already pulled this stunt, said he was heading back to politics.ie.

The January 6th evidence is based on facts, testimonials, and subpoenad documents. Qanon is based on what Ron Watkins wants to troll the idiots who lap that shite up.

They are in no way comparable

This week, the committee asked for the cooperation of Trump’s daughter Ivanka.

“Our strategy is to get to all the facts and circumstances that brought about January 6,” Thompson said.

“And obviously Ivanka Trump was a major adviser to the president all along, a number of items [are] attributed to what she’s been saying and so we asked her to come in voluntarily and give us the benefit of what she knows.”

The inquiry has also subpoenaed phone records of Trump’s son Eric and Kimberly Guilfoyle, partner of Donald Jr.

Trump is not pleased, complaining in an interview with the rightwing Washington Examiner that the committee was made up of “vicious people” who “go after children”.

Donald Trump Jr is 44, Ivanka Trump is 40 and Eric Trump is 38.

    (the last line 😂)

Turned out wouldn't be the word I'd use...

It was a brilliant result for Trump. In the middle of a pandemic where people were locked down and made unemployed. And still got 70 million votes? More than Obama in 2012!

That’s some world class delusion. Losing by 7 million votes to the highest ever vote a single candidate ever go is “a brilliant result for Trump”.

I find it difficult to take you seriously

    What would you call it?

And losing by a 'landslide' (in terms of the popular vote and the electoral college) isn't a brilliant result.

Trump lost by more votes than Walter Mondale did to Ronald Reagan (when Reagan swept the EC). That's how sh*t a result that was.

are you familiar with mail in voting? your guy is so dumb he thought they should stop counting when he was ahead.

Didn't he also float the idea that testing for Covid was doing the same for those numbers? Not wrong, but also very, very wrong.

well obviously the more you test the more cases you are going to find so if you do less testing then you have less cases.

Like I say, he's not wrong, but really not a helpful approach. He's more into the optics to his base than doing the right thing. Once someone becomes president they're supposed to work for all the people.

Me after waiting for 7 minutes at a family event for enough of a pause in the conversation so I can say I'm leaving:

Regarding the thought that you were trolling (I thought so myself, I must admit). I will give you an honest answer:

It's not that we consider Trump supporters are trolls. Some post here and there is a lively debate. The opinion may be skewed against Trump as most Western Europeans would not support Trump or his policies/stances. I mean, whether you agree or not, you can surely appreciate that that is the case. So, there has been debate to-and-fro.

However with your particular situation, people (Again, including myself), assumed you were trolling. Given Trumps boasts about "grabbing them by the pussy", we thought your name was a play on this. Your posts also do fit the pattern of a troll. The follow a pattern: Generic, vague statements about his popularity "Most people who have met Trump say he is a great person and great company". These nebulous statements with no details about "wanting to protect American jobs". And the ultimate clichè comment, variations of "He says what he thinks" "He says it how it is".

This comment below sounds almost like a cut-and-paste comment from his inner circle:

"Most people who have met Trump say he is a great person and great company. I can't remember if it was during covid or during a mass shooting event where he visited a hospital and the nurses were recording and he was absolutely glowing in his praise for them, telling them they're doing an amazing job. Really generous"

The syntax, the careful use of words, the (intentional or not) vagueness of the timing.

So, we do not think that trump posters are trolls. Some of us assumed you were, incorrectly. I do apologise for assuming so and I hope this explains MY reasoning.

Obviously this does not change my feeling on trump and his klan. I still believe they are detestable and have irrevocably damaged the US and the US voting system for no reason other than greed and hatred. And you do NOT agree (And possibly think EXACTLY the same about Biden etc). And that is 100% your right. But it is good fun to debate/let off some steam.

Yeap, appreciate most do not like Trump. Must be said I was asked why I supported Trump. I came into this thread saying I supported him and was then asked why. I gave a detailed answer. I didn't come in here trying to convince anyone.

The examples were vague because I don't track dates and times of his appearances or quotes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,161 ✭✭✭frag420

He was the PUSA so his actions and quotes are easily found via Google, multiple sources available…

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 6,740 ✭✭✭TheIrishGrover

Yeah and, while I do not agree with your position on Trump, I thought I'd clarify where the assumption came from. (For me anyway and I can only speak for myself)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,021 ✭✭✭✭duploelabs

Why then did you avoid debate on his environmental credentials when you're so keen to discuss Biden's?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,235 ✭✭✭Pussyhands

    I didn't.

I showed Biden saying one thing pre presidency and doing another during it.

Just because I said Biden talked a big game about climate change and then refused to sign the pledge ending coal use, doesn't mean I think Trump cares about climate change.

Like building a wall and getting Mexico to pay for it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,021 ✭✭✭✭duploelabs

So it was a missed campaign promise that Biden faltered on.

Do we really need to list how many trump always said it was coming in his presidency, then 'in the next two weeks', but ultimately failed to materialise?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,922 ✭✭✭✭briany

Sometimes I think Trump watched that episode of the Simpsons where Homer runs for Springfield Sanitation Commissioner and thought, "If Homer Simpson can run for Sanitation Commissioner, I can run for Sanitation Commissioner! .....I mean he can run for President! ..... I mean I can.... ah, screw it, I need more McNuggets..."

But we laughed at the Simpsons, then. As it turns out, a man campaigning off of a grudge, making non-sensical populist promises and rolling into office over more qualified (but also more boring) candidates and then finding himself completely ignorant of how to do the job, leading to a chaotic term wasn't all that far-fetched.

A panel of Fulton County judges have just cleared the way for a special grand jury to be used as part of District Attorney Fani Willis' investigation into Trump and his efforts to overturn Georgia's 2020 election results.

I literally do not care man. I am not looking to convince anyone of anything.

You won't change your mind, I won't change mine. Don't waste our time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,021 ✭✭✭✭duploelabs

Just trying to find out where this support from you manifests. It seems the only thing you admire in him is that he 'seems to be a nice guy', ever heard of the cult of personality?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,235 ✭✭✭Pussyhands

No you aren't trying to find out where my support comes from. You're trying to counter my points by saying Trump this/Trump that.

Your last post literally asks if you want me to list out all Trumps failed campaign promises.

I have no desire to debate anyone and try change their mind on Trump. You don't like Trump, that's grand. You and most people don't. I have no problem with that.

I was asked why I support Trump, I gave my answer and examples why.

Let Vladdy retake Crimea. Its of no business to the US but unfortunately the democratic war machine is in charge now. Remember Donnie was against the invasion of Iraqistan , Joe was instrumental in it. . . America had no idea what they were voting for in that election. So many were hoodwinked and gaslit by the corrupt MSN , and voted against the better judgment as a result.
