Treating a Black and Decker Workmate

Hi Guys. Would it be ok to leave a workmate outside covered up? Would i have to treat the wood panels with anything? Thanks

If it's like mine, it's made of bamboo and the surfaces can take a bit of abuse, but start to swell up after a while.
Covering will help. Mine is outside now for 5 years and it's still 'functional'.
