In relation to the omega seamaster on boards for 1350. Thanks omegagene and everyone else for your advice earlier in the week . I put bid in on adverts as first buyer pulled out. Collected it yesterday and very happy with it . Apologies if posted in wrong section to start with.

Advice was much appreciated and will post pic in other page . Thanks again all.

For that watch a small loss is as good as a small profit IMO.

Not quite, did a deal last night on a watch, so the 2 * Rolex have to go. Will put up the adverts.ie ads soon. Not in any hurry, picking up the new watch just before Christmas.

In the meantime, anyone interested let me know via PM:

Rolex Explorer II polar (white) 42mm, full set with Rolex service in 2018 (and the bracelet has been unworn since). Mint condition

Rolex Oyster Perpetual sunburst blue dial 39mm, full set with service from Chris in iChrono last year (but warranty card missing). Great condition

I don't think a loss is ever as good as a profit 🤣

But we get your point. Sometimes it's a big relief when you sell a watch that you always knew was going to be a hard sell and you got away with a relatively minor loss. You'd almost celebrate more than if you got an inevitable (boring) profit by just keeping a Rolex for a year and selling it on. Been there myself a few times...

I’m very tempted by that . The 39mm op wears so well.

I don’t think that’s the original box for it though is it ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,115 ✭✭✭✭unkel

I was told it was. But I'm no expert so couldn't tell for certain. If you like you can come try on it, I'm in Lucan. No obligation to buy whatsoever. Always good to meet forum regulars anyway, we'll have a chat and talk watches 😁

My understanding is that style of box was used until 2013 and was then replaced by the modern style Rolex box with the full internal flip inside the lid.The 39mm op was released is 2015?? So good chance it was a watch only purchase by ichrono , then tidied up and serviced with some paperwork and a box added , seems to be a common enough thing for them to do.

im local to you so will give you a shout to meet up and have a chat at some stage .

You could very well be right about the history there. From a quick google, the model was indeed launched in 2015. Sure fire me a PM and we can exchange details and you can come have a close look at the watch yourself and report your findings back here on thread 😁

And you're right it wears really well even on a larger wrist and if you are used to bigger watches. I guess the watch is all dial and very little bezel as opposed to most other Rolex sport watches

Can't see how the seller will remain with responses like that, irrespective of what is being sold.

I'm confused at the "give me your phone" angle. Especially after he's had sexual congress with both your wife and ma. 😂

Adverts has turned into donedeal . It’s a cess pit now unfortunately. It used to be hassle free selling a watch now it’s not worth it .

Not a watch 😉 but before I list it over on adverts if anyone here is after some .999 silver?

I have a Germania mint 1kg bar that can be yours at quite a reasonable price.

Current price for same is €888, +€30 insured postage.

If anyone here is interested? I'd do €800 delivered. In no huge rush to sell, just have my eye on a new laptop and if I can spin some bullion into that, the Mrs need never know 🤣
