Currently the settings are open except for putt preview so put them what you want. The next even is pro am swing and swing timer turned on to have everyone try out at the same setting.

Looking back at my round at Summerlin, it was my best round of all the Boards tournaments I took part in. Got no double bogeys and got a beautiful eagle. Felt more confident too. It's only a matter of time before I get to under par.

Summerlin for me has the friendliest greens and more chance to putt without putt preview on

Congrats on the win at Summerlin Open Eddie, some great scores there.

Summerlin Pro-am is interesting. Spent a lot more time in the sand and rough but finished at -3, better than my -1 at Summerlin Open. I definitely had to concentrate more taking my shots but i found it added to the fun. Interested to hear what other people think.

Table sorting is a bit off. Hurts my brain 😰🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,347 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Yeah, no idea why it didn't have me at the bottom of the table.

Got my dates mixed up on summerlin open and forgot to enter it. Swing restrictions on the Summerlin ProAm are very tricky, narrows your swing sweet spot considerably, hit a double bogey on the 11th, but finished with a -7

I definitely prefer it being that bit tougher. On the previous round I couldn't miss putts. This time my putting was dirt, I must have went 2-3 inches off on about 10 holes. Heartbreaking stuff 😂.

3 over, some crazy hooks on that one. Putting from afar is near impossible. Didn’t enjoy that round as much as the others

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,745 ✭✭✭✭Jordan 199

My driving is way off in this game. Way fcuking off 🤬

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,745 ✭✭✭✭Jordan 199

Well well well, what a round I just had there. 26 over par. I had trips to the rough, sand and the drink. I am very much down and deflated now. It will be hard to carry on now.

I'd say you hit your skill wall with the change to pro-am swing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,745 ✭✭✭✭Jordan 199

I just don't know what happened. When I was teeing off, the ball drifted a serious amount to the right (even taking the wind into consideration) so I was doomed from the start. I'm seriously shocked at my performance tonight. Honestly it's like a bad dream.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,031 ✭✭✭✭duploelabs

You should have the flash of slow if you're slicing it to the right, conversely fast if your downswing is too fast. It's in the training

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,985 ✭✭✭Essien

I did the swing timing calibration in training and it definitely helped. I'm hitting far fewer slow shots now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,781 ✭✭✭eyeball kid

Well, that was definitely more challenging. Went from 11 under in the last round to even there. Really need to work on the swing timing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 649 ✭✭✭Burlap_Sack

Pretty poor 1 under, couldn't get close with my approach shots. swing timing calibration should definitely be done by anyone who hasn't already.

7 under. Definitely more of a challenge as swing box is a lot tighter. Should have got another 2 under but made a mess of 2 putts.

Finished 2 over at McCory. My best round at a Boards event so far. It's only a matter of time before I finish under.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,347 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

McCory was not kind to me, finished +4 and that was on Open settings :D

Event ends tomorrow, I've added 3 new events, will do a couple of open and then a Pro-Am one thrown into the mix. I'll always add Pro-am into the name if it is. Well try a Pro course shortly after that so will have a nice mix of courses for everyone.

    Jumeriah wasn’t Pro-Am???

I was going well until the last. Tried to play aggressively on the par 5 for a birdie. Hit the drink twice for a double bogie 🙈

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,985 ✭✭✭Essien

Are you still on ProAm from the last game maybe?

I did a round of this over the weekend on ProAm, there's definitely a few tempting opportunities to go aggressive 😀

There are some beautiful courses in this game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,347 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Finished Jumeriah at -4 including a birdie with a chip in from the bunker which I was quite chuffed with. Missed a hole in 1 by inches as well. That event finishes tonight and Up Hickory Creek starts at midnight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,031 ✭✭✭✭duploelabs

Oh crap, I'd better put in a round

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,745 ✭✭✭✭Jordan 199

Finished 5 over at the beautiful Jumeriah course. Overall I was happy enough with my performance but I just need to concentrate on my put-put-putting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,347 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Some tough putts on that one. Ones where I missed the hole by inches and the ball took an almighty detour and rolling down a hill. It is a beautiful course though.

There's nothing worse than seeing your ball slipping by the putting hole.
