Own Brand Razors, Experience Please.

Hi

Does anyone have any recommendations for best value razors and blades? Lidl, Aldi, Tesco, Deals, etc.

What in your experience is the best value razors to purchase and use?

Economize on blades within reason. Don't economise on shaving foam/gel.

I'll just throw one in keeping in mind I'm in the UK, but maybe Dealz will have the same stock.

I have always struggled with razors, usually ending up with nicks, cuts and scratches all over the place. This is using so called 'brand' names and was constantly flipping between the latest 99 blade super smooth baby bum razor and the cheapest BIC single blade disposable.

A couple of years ago I found a BIC (Yeah, I know but this is not the all-in-one disposable) in Poundland. This has a 3 blade replaceable head and an orange handle (but Orange is probably probably the BIC colour).

To cut a long story short I haven't had any problems with these, to my mind they're a revelation and a friend I suggested these to also agrees.

Of course this is a very personal thing but at least it's cheap to try.

I use Aldi's (Lacura) to shave the entire head... smoothest I've ever gotten, no nicks, and where I used to get ingrown hair re-growth/rash, that didn't happen with these. Agree with @[Deleted User] , a good foam/gel is every bit as important. Looking back in comparison, Mach 3 "shaviest shave" were a disaster to use.

I picked up a 10 pack of Sensor Excell blades on Amazon for €14 to keep ke going for the time being. These are probably my favourite blades l have used in the past. When theae run dry, I will give other suggestions a try. Please keep them coming.

Fully agree - was always a sensor excel man, tried Lidl then but Aldi are definitely a class above

Seems I must try those Aldi razors then - saves me having to sneak into Poundland wearing a hoodie and dark glasses ... :)

Ive tried them all and the gillette fusion is the only one that works well for me. Then comes the mach3. But own brand ones just dont work well for me
