    Hi,

I assume I don't need engineer code to change out the battery, I know it will activate anti tamper when I open the cover, code should silence this ?

Are the batteries easily sourced ?

    Thanks B.

If your HKC system is a 1070 or 6/10 etc then you are correct. The battery you require is a 12vdc 7amp rechargeable battery.

However if its a HKC Quantum the battery is more precise and you may need the engineer code to reset the battery timer.

    Hi KK,

it's just the sensor on the window not the main battery, system is 1070, is that battery 12v 7amp seems large for that sensor ? Apologies in advance but just would like to have the correct battery before I open the sensor.

    Tks B

No. The HKC wireless sensor batteries are CR123. Also widly available.

Should be no bother changing them out.
