What are the chances of getting someone to deliver a small amount of Ready Mix? 0.5- 0.7m3. Does anyone know would a supplier even bother with such a small amount or will I be hiring a mixer and ordering cement and aggregate?

They will deliver it but it will be expensive .

Or find one of the drivers locally and have a word. Or a farmer doing some work and you could get a bit added to their job

    Mix it if you can

You could ask, they can only say no. As Penturner says, it will be relatively expensive as you will have an entire delivery cost added to just a half c/m. If you live in a fairly populated place and if they are delivering a load somewhere else close by they may be willing to add on a small amount - it will be whatever mix they are delivering, but maybe that won't matter.

Firstly how far are you from the local batching plant? for a quantity that small most would go to the batching plant and get a dry mix if the car trailer and mix it with water on site in a mixer and place it.............................................................................................
