where to put money?

I am closing a savings account it has bad interest and want to move it its about €24k. I have a ptsb savings, An Post and Irish Life just wondering where would be the best to put this I dont want a year fixed but dont want a 10 year either should I split it between two institutions or put it in one. I dont want to lock it away too long as I will need it maybe in the next 3/4 years.

Needing it in three years would lead you towards an post, assuming you remember to ask them for it in plenty of time. They aren't easy to get money back from.

I presume your referring to State Bonds and Certs. How hard is it from experience to get the money back. I thought you just give 7 days notice. Surely if it's your money they can't make thinks too onerous otherwise the Central Bank who regulate An Post should be involved.
