    Can anyone tell me what does the income disregard mean that was increased from 2.50 to 7.60 in Budget ,i dont understand this figure as i thought the disregard was 140 per week

    If there are means after the income disregard the first €7.60 of means will still mean a maximum payment of DA. Prior to this it was €2.50.

    I think it means that as long as you are being deducted means of at least €7.60 you will be a fiver better off this is in addition to €5 increase. Most people who are deducted for having means will be up a tenner come January.
