Working in Eir Call Centre Cork

Hello,

I am looking to apply for a new job - know that Eir in Cork sporadically have openings.

What are people's experience working for them?

Are they fair to work for?

Doing an evening course - are they flexible with offering Monday to Friday, 7.00 am - 3.30pm shift or the usual 9 to 5.30 shift etc?

The last salary advertised was for 25,000 customer service, that seem right

I don't know about Cork. But I am fully aware of the Eir sh1tshow in Sligo. People walking out of their job daily. Being promised promotion increases and not getting them due to being set unrealistic targets. 27k? More like 20k. Management that doesn't help, they don't care about staff! I know of someone that was told to keep customers on hold for so long and then the customer cancels the call or the operator cuts them off. If you do take a job in Eir be sure as hell to have something else lined up!

They did say that the Sligo crew were appallingly difficult to train 🙂

I have heard first-hand from someone who worked there that the training in Sligo was the bare minimum. Even non-existent in some cases..

That link is clearly management pointing the finger at their staff and not taking responsibility themselves. If management isn't capable of training staff, you can't expect the staff to be able to do the job? I can't see why don't understand this. Or are you part of that "hierarchy"? 🙂
