Iphone Calendar not syncing with iCloud

Hi, Looking for some help. I have a shared family calendar with my wife and son. Works fine on our phones and the iMac but when I log into iCloud the calendar is blank. Hoping this is why my echo dot is not announcing events Any help is much-appreciated thanks Rory

Hi,

Is Calendars enabled in Settings>$YOURNAME>iCloud?

Finally got it to sync purely by accident.
Changed nothing but I went to add a new event in the cloud calendar and suddenly everything synced

Had a look at my own and it was blank. You need to click the nondescript space beside the calendar to turn it on. A checkbox appears. It's a **** design.
