Pretty legit looking list of dates has leaked, expecting an announcement imminently. Looking forward to seeing them with John back in the fold.

I hope its not the o2. Those support acts may hit at a bigger and better venue

RHCP, Strokes and beck would be the most marlay park gig in the history of marlay park gigs......

Usually gigs at the RDS mid/end of June, so that'd be my guess. Unless that redevelopment is going on then?

    Possibly Aviva otherwise.

June 29th is a Wednesday - what venues open on a Wednesday? RDS maybe? Malahide / Marlay / Phoenix Park also seemed to be weekends from memory but I could be wrong there.

Reckon it could be the RDS, Hella Mega tour taking place there on Monday 27th June. Maybe even the Aviva

This gig sadly wrong time for me, have Hella Mega on the Monday and then Elton John in Cork on the 1st July.

Awh I hope its not the Strokes supporting in Dublin as I'd rather a stand alone strokes gig, having said that i probably would end up getting tickets for it 😂😂. I can't see support being St Vincent, Haim or Beck since they are all playing Dublin next summer

Someone posted on the 2022 gigs thread it's Marley Park with Beck and Haim. Feck it anyway. I was hoping it would be the RDS or the Aviva. I live in North County Dublin near a train station and both of these venues would be easier to get to.

    Might as well start

    'Anthony's Voice is gone'

'There old and a shell of them former selves'

'All the songs will sound different'

    'Tickets too expensive'

'Marley Park is a hole to get to and from'

    Pure Irish gig boards experience

So Green Day on the 27th, Guns N Roses on the 28th and RHCP on the 29th of June.

    Ridiculous scheduling.

Yeah hard to believe the first 2 date back to 2020 because of that **** covid. A lot prob holded on their Green Day and/or GNR tickets

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 220 ✭✭eldest200

Do you need to sign up for the pre sale or just go to ticketmaster?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 962 ✭✭✭Burty330

Is there any advantage to presale since every ticket is pretty much the same in that in grants to entry to the grounds? I'm assuming it's safe enough to buy tickets next Friday morning.. GnR hasn't sold out yet although id expect rhcp to fill within weeks if not days..

    Anyone know the price yet?

I see there's album presale tickets available before all the others on the Tuesday, how do you go about getting these? I can't see anywhere to buy their album to get a code

I'd day sign up to the bands newsletter and also MCDs newsletter as they are listed on the TM presale countdown https://mcd.ie/red-hot-chili-peppers-announce-headline-show-at-marlay-park/

You will pick up a ticket for this next June for peanuts, likewise GNR, its complete saturation.

    Chili Peppers again?!

I dunno, John being back is a big selling point. Kinda like the first wave of GnR shows when Slash returned, those tickets went like hot cakes

Thinking about going to this. Have Kings of Leon and Green Day around the same time. I've never been to a concert in Marlay Park. I don't live in Dublin and not too familar with the area. Is it easy to get from Dublin city centre to Marlay Park on concert days?

Look into getting a bus from these guys, very good service but can be strict on food/drink on the busses. This show is not added yet but went to Marley Park shows in the past using them

Luas to dundrum and then there's usually a shuttle bus, fairly idiot proof.

Looks like there will be a Golden Circle for this.

Ah Shlte. I hadn't clicked that I have never seen GnR live. Definately going to go to that. Bit of a toss up then for the other 2. I have seen RHCPs few times. Last time I saw them in the 3Arena, they weren't great. Not much energy there. Kinda going through the motions. But were great another time in the RDS.

Have never seen Green Day either. But only familiar with Dookie and American Idiot.

4 decent months to spread them over like from May to August. And then to stick them on back to back. I know there's the band scheduling to consider. But its not that difficult for few bodies to come together and organise in a reasonable manner.

I would put that down to the venue rather than the band. The 3ARENA sucks.
